Our Company

50+ years of excellence in injection moulding and toolmaking

NTD brings over five decades of expertise in injection moulding, toolmaking, and the production of high-quality plastic products. Founded in 1974 by Bob Witham as Napier Tool & Die, the company began by producing press tools for the construction industry. A decade later, NTD transitioned into injection moulding, a pivotal shift that led to its integration into the Tru-Test Group and an expansion into the agri-tech sector. This strategic move set the foundation for the diverse range of services we offer today.

Witham’s vision as both an engineer and toolmaker formed the cornerstone of NTD’s comprehensive service offering—from initial design through to the final, high-quality product.

Proudly NZ Owned & Operated

In 2016, NTD became part of the Railblaza Group under the leadership of Ross Pratt, expanding our marine product manufacturing while continuing to deliver custom moulding solutions.

In 2021, NTD became part of the NGH Group (Nautical Group Holdings) with the majority shareholder being Oriens Capital, a New Zealand private equity fund. This partnership has enhanced our global market position and expanded our expertise in world-class marine products. The NGH Group has companies based in New Zealand and the United States.
